Mexican authorities warn of fraudulent job offers and forced recruitment

Authorities in Mexico are warning the public about fraudulent job advertisements circulating on social media. In Aguascalientes, the State Public Security Secretariat reported that approximately 55 pages spreading false job offers or scams have been taken down. Officials stated these pages were potentially linked to forced recruitment efforts.

Separately, the Secretariat for Women has alerted citizens that fake advertisements are using the institution's name to promote non-existent work-from-home and part-time positions. The head of the agency, Laura Itzel Castillo Juárez, has ordered legal reviews to potentially pursue charges against those responsible for these scams.

Citizens are advised to verify all job opportunities through official government portals and to avoid sharing sensitive personal information or money during unverified hiring processes.
