Mexican bishops call for peace during World Mission Sunday
Mexican bishops are calling on the faithful to pray for peace and intercede for the nation during the World Mission Sunday (DOMUND) 2026. The observance, held on October 18, marks the centenary of the World Mission Day.
Monsignor Víctor Sánchez Espinosa, Archbishop of Puebla, emphasized that all Catholics are called to be missionary disciples in their daily lives, including within families and workplaces. The celebration highlights the importance of supporting missionaries worldwide and providing pastoral resources to communities in need.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary, the Apostolic Penitentiary has granted a plenary indulgence to the faithful who participate devotedly in the Marian Rosary held this Sunday.
