Mexican CEOs Show Resilience Amid Global Uncertainty

The EY‑Parthenon CEO Outlook Survey finds that confidence among Mexican executives remains steady even as global optimism among CEOs fell from 42% to 22% due to geopolitical tensions and supply‑chain disruptions. Respondents view the North American market – Mexico, Canada and the United States – as a strategic hub and rank Mexico as the top investment destination for the next twelve months, while also monitoring risks from artificial‑intelligence adoption, supply‑chain frictions and cybersecurity.

Separately, the Edelman Trust Barometer 2026 reports a rise in employee confidence in their own CEOs, up nine points, even as trust in governments and media declines. PwC’s 29th Global CEO Survey notes that 66% of CEOs said stakeholder‑trust issues were a major concern in the past year. Marcos Westphalen, Pinterest’s vice‑president for Latin America, emphasized that authentic leadership can strengthen brand value, but warned that a CEO can also become the greatest brand risk when the company’s identity is tied to a single individual.
