Mexican cinema celebrates Ariel Award documentary winners

MX Nuestro Cine is hosting a special programming cycle throughout September dedicated to the nominees and winners of the Ariel Award for Best Documentary Feature. The cycle showcases 20 feature films produced between 1994 and 2022, providing a chronological look at the evolution of Mexican documentary filmmaking.

The Ariel Award, presented by the Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMACC), is the highest distinction in Mexican cinema. The selected works reflect the country's realities, memories, and struggles. The films will be broadcast Monday through Friday starting at 22:00 hours via Señal 22 and via streaming.
