Mexican cities complete park and fountain renovations to improve public spaces
The municipal government of Puebla, headed by mayor Pepe Chedraui, inaugurated a comprehensive rehabilitation of the fountain in Parque de Santiago. Works included repair of the hydraulic and electrical systems, replacement of the submerged pump and timer, and installation of RGB LED lighting, alongside upkeep of surrounding urban furniture.
In another Mexican municipality, the Dirección General de Obras Públicas finished a 5.151 million‑peso renovation of the park in the Morelos III neighborhood. The project added concrete walkways, a multi‑use court, playground equipment, an outdoor gym, colored synthetic turf, pergolas for shade, benches and trash containers, funded through participatory budgeting to enhance community recreation and safety.
