Morelia activates alternate routes amid teleférico and Morebús construction

To accommodate construction of the Morelia teleférico and the launch of the Morebús line, the city's Secretariat of Urban Development and Mobility (Sedum) will impose nightly partial closures on side streets near the Monument. The lane from the Monument toward Calzada La Huerta will be closed from 21:00 to 05:00, and the opposite direction from 22:00 to 05:00. Sedum has set up alternate routes: vehicles heading toward Tres Puentes will use two dedicated lanes; public transport moving from Tres Puentes to the Monument will have priority up to the Obelisco before continuing on Avenida Madero. Other vehicles must detour via Jesús Solórzano Dávalos, and Juan Manuel Pantoja street will be temporarily widened to two lanes with signage. Traffic police will assist drivers and enforce the scheme. The measures aim to maintain safety, reduce congestion and allow the construction work to proceed during night hours.
