Mexican municipalities roll out infrastructure upgrades and cultural events

Municipal authorities across Mexico are implementing a range of public‑works projects and cultural programmes. In Mexico City, Governor Clara Brugada Molina announced a plan for Milpa Alta that includes repaving over 45 km of roads, water‑system upgrades and new health facilities. The city of Tecámac reported a 16 % drop in crime and a 322‑million‑peso investment in a new surveillance centre. Puebla’s mayor Pepe Chedraui promoted a weekend of free cultural activities, while the city also launched the second edition of its International Book Fair. In Cuautla, Morelos, a 112‑million‑peso project will complete the Hermenegildo Galeana market for 368 merchants. The neighbourhood of La Virgen received an integrated park, medical clinic and water‑purification plant serving more than 3 000 families. Altamira’s mayor Armando Martínez Manríquez toured the Los Presidentes colonia to hear residents’ needs and pledged further infrastructure work. Morelia’s SCOP is rehabilitating six kilometres of its northern ring road. Tlaxcala’s governor Lorena Cuéllar Cisneros inaugurated the first stage of the Totolac‑Texantla road repavement. Saltillo’s mayor Javier Díaz González completed the Misión Cerritos public plaza. In Emiliano Zapata, a ceramics festival expects 3 000 visitors and a 3‑million‑peso economic boost. Across these locales, officials highlighted improvements to roads, drainage, water supply, public safety, health services and cultural life, aiming to enhance mobility, safety and quality of life for residents.
