Mexican City and State Leaders Promote Women’s Empowerment and Inclusive Governance

Mayor Pepe Chedraui’s municipal government in Puebla presented its inclusive policy‑management practices at the First International Congress on Innovation in Public Management in Puebla. The workshop, led by IMPLAN coordinator Jesús Sánchez Reliac, detailed the “Management for Results (GpR)” approach and gender‑inclusive indicators used to evaluate public spending and improve wellbeing for residents.

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas of Coahuila, together with Paola Rodríguez López of Inspira Coahuila, launched a university program for women across several municipalities, awarding credentials to thousands of female students. The initiative highlighted education as a tool for personal, professional and economic growth, aiming to increase the number of qualified women in the region and strengthen community development.
