Mexican coffee producers sign export agreement with China

Mexican coffee producers from the State of Mexico have entered a Framework Agreement for Commercial Collaboration to export coffee to the People's Republic of China. Valid from 2026 to 2036, the agreement was signed between the Chinese company Chengdu Accio Beans Coffee Technology Co., Ltd. and the Mexican company DICAF (Desarrollo Industrial de Café S. R. L. de C. V.), which represents national producers.

Initial participants include producers from the municipalities of Tenancingo, Amatepec, Malinalco, and Sultepec, with provisions to integrate more producers from the region in the coming months. Under the terms of the agreement, Mexican producers are responsible for supply, regularity, and maintaining quality controls that meet Chinese market specifications. In return, Accio Beans will provide market expertise, logistical infrastructure, marketing channels, and regulatory management.

The agreement was finalized during the 5th International Agro-industrial Forum (FIA 5) held at the State of Mexico Convention Center. While the agreement establishes a long-term commercial route to the Asian market, it is a framework for future operations rather than an immediate large-scale export commencement.
