Mexican contemporary jewelry exhibition opens in Paris
The collective exhibition ‘GAA'YÚ GUENDA - Los Cinco Dones de los Dioses’ opened on October 1 at the Instituto Cultural de México en Francia in Paris. Curated by Sylvia Burgoa, the showcase is part of Parcours Bijoux 2026 and features 37 artistic contributions.
The exhibition explores contemporary Mexican jewelry through a sensory journey inspired by the five senses, focusing on themes of identity, memory, and material. The works utilize diverse techniques and conceptual approaches to move beyond purely ornamental functions.
The opening event was attended by approximately 300 people, including artists, cultural representatives, and specialists. Officials such as Víctor Manuel Uribe Aviña, director of the Instituto Cultural de México en Francia, and Andrea Pineiros, president of Parcours Bijoux, emphasized the importance of strengthening cultural ties between Mexico and France through such creative exchanges.
