Mexican courts hand down 30‑34 year sentences for sexual assaults on minors

A court in Buenavista, Michoacán sentenced Eustaquio “N” to 34 years and four months in prison for aggravated rape and sexual abuse of his 9‑year‑old step‑daughter, with the judgment covering offenses committed in 2015, 2021 and 2023. The ruling also ordered restitution for the victim.

In Loreto, Baja California Sur, a tribunal imposed a 30‑year prison term on Bernardo “N” after finding him guilty of aggravated rape of a minor. The crimes occurred in July and August 2024, and the sentence includes payment for the victim’s psychological therapy as part of reparations.
