Mexican culinary festivals announced in Colombia and Mexico
A new edition of Mexican Week will take place in Colombia from October 30 to November 8. The festival features more than 40 participating restaurants, each offering a special edition dish for 25,000 pesos. The initiative aims to showcase the diversity of Mexican cuisine beyond popular items like tacos, including dishes such as pozole, enchiladas, chilaquiles, burritos, and chimichangas.
In Mexico City, the Maguey Cultural Gastronomic Festival is scheduled for November 7 in the Miguel Hidalgo borough. This free event focuses on the maguey plant and its traditional derivatives. Activities include live music, book presentations, and tastings of pulque, curados, and aguamiel. The festival also offers workshops and lectures regarding the historical, cultural, and medicinal importance of the plant.
