Mexican cyclist Romina Hinojosa to ride in 2026 Women's Tour de France

Romina Hinojosa, a 23‑year‑old rider from Tampico, Tamaulipas, has been named to the Intermarché‑Lotto Ladies squad for the 2026 Tour de France Femmes, which will take place from 1–9 August. The Belgian team announced a seven‑rider roster and highlighted Hinojosa’s strength as a mountain specialist, quoting sporting director Grace Verbeke: “Marieke Meert and Romina Hinojosa feel at home on the toughest terrain.”

Hinojosa becomes the first Mexican woman to compete in the premier stage‑race. Her recent results include a second‑place stage finish in the Giro Mediterráneo Rosa and an 18th place overall in the Vuelta a Portugal, performances that helped secure her move to the European circuit after earlier stints with AR Monex Pro Cycling.
