Mexican officials roll out child‑welfare programs in State of Mexico and Veracruz

Deputy Edmundo Luis Valdeña Bastida introduced a reform to the State of Mexico's Welfare and Development Law that would give priority to educational support for children of women who head households in rural communities. The proposal seeks to curb school dropout, improve access to schooling and break cycles of poverty by using existing program resources.

In the municipality of Ixtaczoquitlán, Veracruz, the local police department held a series of workshops for parents on preventing digital violence. Sessions addressed cyber‑bullying, grooming, virtual kidnapping, and personal data theft, offering practical guidance on monitoring online activity and fostering safe digital habits for children and adolescents.
