Mexico secures two golds and six medals at Zapopan Diving Cup 2026

The Copa México de Clavados 2026 was held at the Centro Acuático Metropolitano in Zapopan, Jalisco. Mexican divers captured two gold medals: Osmar Olvera and Juan Celaya won the men’s 3‑metre synchronized springboard with 408.39 points, and twins Mía and Lía Cueva claimed the women’s 3‑metre synchronized title with 298.65 points, beating the Chinese pair.

Overall the Mexican team earned six podium places – two gold, two silver and two bronze – across individual and synchronized events. Silver medals went to Alejandra Estudillo/Gabriela Agúndez (women’s 10‑metre synchro) and Randal Willars (men’s 10‑metre platform), while bronze medals were won by Suri Cueva/Adriana Torres (women’s 10‑metre synchro) and Kenny Zamudio (men’s 10‑metre platform). Osmar Olvera summed up the performance: “Bien, contento. Hubo buenos clavados; otros se pueden mejorar, pero al final se logró el objetivo, que era ganar.”

The results are presented as preparation for upcoming competitions, notably the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo 2026 and the Los Ángeles 2028 Olympic cycle.
