Mexican educational institutions expand artificial intelligence programs
Educational institutions in Mexico are expanding their academic offerings to include specialized training in artificial intelligence.
The Instituto Tecnológico de Veracruz has launched two new advanced programs: an online Master’s in Artificial Intelligence Engineering and an in-person Doctorate in Engineering Sciences. The institution has also been officially recognized as a training center for this technology by the Tecnológico Nacional de México.
In Chihuahua, CONALEP is implementing the ‘Visión CONALEP Chihuahua 2030’ plan. This initiative aims to integrate artificial intelligence, robotics, programming, and data analysis into its 26 technical careers. The strategy focuses on building foundational skills such as mathematics, logic, and digital literacy starting at the high school level to prepare students for future professional specialization.
