Mexican educational institutions report faculty growth and lower dropout rates

The University of Colima has ratified 20 full-time professors for its high school programs. Rector Christian Torres Ortiz Zermeño noted that the current number of full-time faculty in upper secondary education is low and expressed a commitment to increasing this figure to support teaching, academic collaboration, and educational development. He also highlighted a respectful working relationship with the SUTUC union to advance university personnel initiatives.

Separately, the national network of technological and polytechnic universities in Mexico reported a 10% decrease in school dropout rates over the last two years. This decline is attributed to a new educational model involving shared study programs and professional competency certification. During the 35th anniversary of the Universidad Tecnológica de Nezahualcóyotl, Director Marlenne Mendoza González announced that enrollment in the State of Mexico is expected to grow by 10% for the upcoming school cycle.
