Mexican federal agencies face allegations of inefficiency and corruption
Criticism has been leveled against several Mexican federal agencies under the ‘Cuarta Transformación’ (4T) administration, alleging inefficiency and financial mismanagement. The Secretaría de la Mujer, led by Laura Itzel Castillo Juárez, is accused of lacking clear objectives and duplicating the functions of the Secretaría del Bienestar and the DIF.
Furthermore, the Instituto para Devolverle al Pueblo lo Robado has faced allegations of corruption. Former director Jaime Cárdenas reportedly resigned due to irregularities involving the auction of seized assets, including claims of gemstone theft from jewelry and deceptive practices regarding property auctions. Additionally, LitioMx is cited for high expenditures despite limited operational progress.
