Mexican football clubs unveil new kits inspired by cultural heritage
Club Deportivo Toluca has introduced its third uniform for the 2026-2027 season, featuring an orange and black color scheme. The design is inspired by the Cosmovitral Botanical Garden in Toluca, specifically incorporating visual elements that evoke ‘El Hombre Sol’, a central piece of the world's largest non-religious stained-glass installation.
Separately, Club Tijuana (Xolos) has launched a new jersey in collaboration with Reebok. The kit is inspired by Mictlán and the Day of the Dead traditions. The predominantly black garment features geometric patterns based on the mythical obsidian mountain, Itztépetl, accented with cempasúchil orange tones and imagery of the xoloitzcuintle dog.
