Clásico Caribeño baseball matches postponed to 2027

The Clásico Caribeño baseball matches between Venezuela’s Cardenales de Lara and Mexico’s Charros de Jalisco, originally scheduled for October in Dallas and Sugar Land, Texas, have been postponed until 2027.

The organizing committee cited concerns regarding the current enforcement of immigration laws in Texas, noting that these conditions might prevent the Hispanic and immigrant communities from comfortably attending the events.

Following the postponement, Charros de Jalisco has added two friendly matches against Jaguares de Nayarit to its preseason schedule at the Estadio Panamericano. These games will be held on October 8 and 9 and will serve as a charitable event, accepting food donations for the Guadalajara Food Bank.
