Mexican governors expand social assistance in Lagunillas, San Nicolás Tolentino and Amealco

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona of San Luis Potosí met with local Social Development delegates in Lagunillas and San Nicolás Tolentino to review and broaden existing social assistance programs. More than 3,100 families currently receive benefits; the new plan seeks to increase coverage for the 1,800 families in Lagunillas and the 1,300 families in San Nicolás Tolentino, delivering aid directly without intermediaries. He said, “Nuestro compromiso es muy claro: que ningún apoyo se quede en el camino y que llegue directamente a quien realmente lo necesita.”

In Querétaro, Secretary of Social Development Luis Nava oversaw the delivery of the Coinvestment Social Program in Amealco de Bonfil, providing essential goods to families through a partnership with the Congregation Mariana Trinitaria. The effort supports Governor Mauricio Kuri’s agenda to improve household welfare and expand the reach of social aid. Nava remarked, “Que sepan que ahí vamos a estar y que no llegamos con las manos vacías… estoy para servirles.”
