Mexican karateka qualify for Pan American and World championships

Several Mexican karateka have qualified for international competitions following successful performances in national tournaments.

In Xicoténcatl, three young athletes—Luisa Hernández Villanueva, Oliver Gael Mendoza Castro, and Mateo Velázquez de los Santos—earned medals at the National Karate Tournament in Zacatecas. Their achievements have secured their participation in the Pan American Karate Championship, scheduled to take place in Mexico in late October.

Meanwhile, in Manuel Doblado, the municipal government has approved a 30,000 peso budget to support 14 students and two instructors from the ‘Senchi Nakama’ Karate Do school. The funding will assist with airfare for the group to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, to compete in the World Martial Arts Championship from October 9 to 11.
