Mexican legislators host book launch, youth parliament and US outreach in August 2026

On 7 August 2026, Deputy Ricardo Monreal Ávila (Morena) presented the children’s book “Las aventuras de Itzuri en los Pantanos de Centla” in the Chamber of Deputies, highlighting the biodiversity of the Pantanos de Centla biosphere reserve in Tabasco.

The same day, Deputy Luis Enrique Miranda Barrera (PVEM) inaugurated the youth parliament “Voces del futuro MX”, urging young people to engage in politics and community projects.

Later in the week, Deputy Mario Zamora Gastélum (PVEM) began a three‑city tour of New York, Washington D.C. and Boston. He spoke at the Latino American Political Marketing Summit in New York and held meetings with U.S. congress members, OAS representatives, National Institute on Drug Abuse officials and Harvard specialists to promote cooperation on democracy, public health and innovation for the state of Sinaloa.
