Mexican legislators reincorporate or take office following leaves of absence

In Baja California, Green Party (PVEM) deputy Jorge Ramos Hernández has returned to his seat in the State Congress. Ramos had previously requested a leave of absence on July 2 to participate in Morena's internal process for the 2027 gubernatorial candidacy. After his bid was unsuccessful, he submitted an official notice on October 14 to rescind his leave and rejoin the XXV Legislature. During his three-and-a-half-month absence, his substitute, Bryan Manuel Castillo Trinidad, held the position.

In Mexico City, Joaquín Ruiz Olloqui has been sworn in as a federal deputy for Chihuahua's 4th District. Ruiz Olloqui, representing the Green Party, succeeds Alejandro Pérez Cuéllar, who requested an indefinite leave of absence to focus on future political goals for 2027. Ruiz Olloqui pledged to continue his predecessor's environmental initiatives, including a commitment to plant 30,000 trees.
