Mexican mayors receive high approval ratings in recent polls
Recent evaluations of municipal leaders in Mexico show high approval ratings for several mayors. According to a Consulta Mitofsky measurement for October, Daniela Griego Ceballos, the mayor of Xalapa, Veracruz, ranked first in her state with a score of 51.5. The top national ranking was held by the mayor of Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo, with a score of 64.7.
In a separate ranking by México Elige for the end of October, Enrique Galindo Ceballos, the mayor of San Luis Potosí, secured fourth place nationally among mayors of capital cities with a 61.5% approval rating. This follows an August rating of 65.2%, where he held third place. The San Luis Potosí administration attributed its standing to ongoing infrastructure and mobility projects, including the Salvador Nava and Jacobo Payán bridge, the Vialidades Potosinas 2.0 street rehabilitation program, and various public space restoration initiatives.
