Mexican military zones showcase security initiatives in El Marqués and Saltillo

In El Marqués, mayor Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán and Brigadier General José Guillermo Lira Hernández inaugurated the Conín military exhibition, a joint effort with the 17th Military Zone of Querétaur. The event featured the Mexican Army, municipal public safety, civil protection, animal‑protection and addiction‑prevention agencies, showcasing interactive modules and 14 exhibition vehicles, including tactical trucks, a Jeep Rubicon, an RZR and a Humvee equipped with an antitank gun. A mental‑health talk for students was also presented.

In Saltillo, Brigadier General Juan Carlos Quiroz Muñoz, commander of the Sixth Military Zone, delivered a conference on the “Culture of National Security” to 200 municipal police officers. He highlighted Saltillo’s ranking as Mexico’s safest capital according to the ENSU survey, crediting coordinated efforts among municipal, state and federal forces. Local officials, including mayor Javier Díaz González, reinforced the importance of continued collaboration to maintain the city’s security reputation.
