Mexican municipal leaders boost infrastructure spending and health aid

The first syndic of Tlalnepantla, Maribel Soto, reported that the municipal administration has achieved a historic level of public‑works investment, surpassing 1.3 billion pesos for 2025‑2026. Projects include new lighting, safe pathways for women, rehabilitation of sidewalks, urban murals and other works that incorporate a gender perspective and community participation. She also highlighted a record fiscal collection that she says reflects responsible budgeting and strengthens services for residents.

In Saltillo, syndic Marimar Arroyo Peart announced continued provision of orthopedic devices, medicines and other health support to vulnerable citizens. She urged residents to submit requests through her social‑media channels, promising direct follow‑up. Arroyo said this outreach will remain a core element of her work when she assumes office as a local deputy in 2027.
