Veracruz Governor Rocío Nahle García pushes transparency and oversight

Governor Rocío Nahle García attended the second legislative activity report of Senator Raquel Bonilla in the port of Veracruz, publicly praising the senator’s work on social causes and emphasizing the importance of legislative actions for the state’s underserved populations. The governor highlighted how such coordination strengthens the agenda of social justice promoted by the national transformation movement.

Mayor Rosa María Hernández Espejo ordered a series of transparency measures for the Veracruz Civil Registry, mandating that all payments be made only at municipal treasury cashiers, that official receipts be issued, and that fee schedules be displayed prominently. The municipality will monitor compliance and report any irregularities to the state Secretary of Government.

In the “Jueves en tu Colonia” program, Mayor Hernández visited several neighborhoods, presenting results of drainage cleaning, waste collection, street lighting repairs, and security patrols, while also supporting 111 households through social assistance initiatives.
