In Tijuana, municipal police arrested three young men—a 21‑year‑old, a 20‑year‑old and a 16‑year‑old—after they pointed a 9 mm pistol at a driver on the Vía Rápida. The weapon was found loaded with eight rounds, and the suspects were turned over to the Federal Prosecutor’s Office for illegal firearm possession.

In Ciudad Juárez, municipal officers detained a 31‑year‑old man who had been firing shots from a motorcycle. A routine search uncovered a .38 revolver with six live cartridges. He was placed in custody pending legal proceedings for violating federal gun laws.
