Mexico's President launches youth program in Apatzingán, Michoacán

The federal "Jóvenes Uniendo al Barrio" initiative, promoted by President Claudia Sheinbaum, was inaugurated in Apatzingán, Michoacán. Municipal president Fanny Arreola highlighted the strong turnout of young participants, noting that the town is currently the only municipality in the state to host the program. The year‑long scheme targets residents aged 12 to 29 and offers community, sports, cultural and service activities aimed at fostering peaceful neighbourhoods.

The launch underscores the federal effort to strengthen social cohesion and provide development opportunities for youth in the region.
