Mexican municipalities distribute property deeds to families

Local governments in Mexico have conducted ceremonies to provide legal property deeds to residents, aiming to secure family patrimony and provide legal certainty.

In Torreón, Coahuila, Mayor Miguel Ángel Riquelme Solís led an event where 95 families received official documentation for their homes. The initiative was a coordinated effort between the Government of Coahuila, the Torreón City Council, and the College of Notaries. During the ceremony, officials encouraged beneficiaries to also establish wills to prevent future family conflicts.

In Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, San Luis Potosí, Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz oversaw the delivery of deeds to families in various neighborhoods, including El Huerto de los Olivos, Tierra y Libertad, and El Arenal. Residents reported that the regularization processes had taken between 11 and 16 years to complete, with support provided by the Municipal Institute of Housing (INMUVI).
