Mexican municipalities expand free health services to thousands

The municipal government of Ensenada, Baja California, reported that its "Salud para Todos" program logged 9,530 health actions and enrolled 3,516 people between March and June. Services included 1,618 medical consultations, 2,909 medications dispensed, 2,157 laboratory tests, 736 dental procedures, 574 eye exams and 572 lenses, among other preventive care activities.

In Naucalpan, State of Mexico, the "Impulsando tu Salud" initiative announced nearly 10,300 affiliates and more than 95,300 free attendances. The program provides general, dental and optometry consultations, laboratory analysis, vaccinations and a catalog of over 200 medicines, supported by two mobile medical units and newly opened fixed clinics.

Both programs aim to strengthen preventive health care and broaden access to essential medical services for low‑income residents within their municipalities.
