Saltillo implements urban maintenance and infrastructure projects
Saltillo Mayor Javier Díaz González is implementing various urban improvement and infrastructure projects across the city. Recent efforts include cleaning and weeding operations on the central median and sides of Boulevard Morelos to enhance mobility and safety.
In the educational sector, the municipal government, supported by Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, is constructing a roof for the Leona Vicario Primary School in the Valle Verde neighborhood through the ‘Participa Saltillo’ program. Additionally, the city has completed a pavement rehabilitation project on Luis Contreras de la Fuente street in the Universidad Pueblo neighborhood, representing an investment of over one million pesos.
To promote civic responsibility, the local government launched the ‘Tómala Cochino’ awareness campaign. This initiative involves youth from various local institutions to encourage citizens to dispose of waste properly and report littering, which can result in municipal fines of up to 55,000 pesos.
