Mexican municipalities launch aid kits and cards for vulnerable mothers

In San Andrés Cholula, the municipal DIF distributed the “Cambiando Vidas con Kits para Mujeres Embarazadas” program to 46 pregnant women living in vulnerability. The initiative, funded with 250,000 pesos, provides each kit with essential baby‑care items such as a bathtub, portable changing station, bottle sterilizer, diapers, wipes and clothing. The delivery was overseen by Aurora Tlatehui Percino on behalf of municipal president Guadalupe Cuautle.

Meanwhile, in Progreso, Coahuila, the municipal government continued its “Mamás Fuertes” programme, handing out benefit cards to single mothers. The cards grant access to various supports and services, with the latest distribution occurring in the town of San José del Aura and further registration opportunities announced for eligible women.
