Mexican Municipalities Launch Entrepreneurship and Export Training Programs

In Manuel Doblado, Guanajuato, municipal president Gustavo Adolfo Alfaro Reyes and the local Economic Development Directorate, together with the State Institute for Training (IECA), awarded certificates to 80 participants who completed workshops on acrylic nail application (50 participants), balloon decoration (15) and motorcycle repair (15). The program aims to diversify household income and strengthen the local economy.

In Querétaro, the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU) headed by Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero closed a five‑month “Tools for Export” workshop that involved 24 people from 14 companies. The training covered foreign‑trade regulations, export procedures, product identification, tax payments and support services, contributing to a reported 14% rise in the state’s exports. Officials highlighted the role of the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade (COMCE) and COFESIAQ.
