Mexican Municipalities Launch New Sports Fields and Digital Voting System

In the municipality of Salvador Alvarado, Sinaloa, two synthetic football fields were opened in the Prado Bonito and Valle Bonito neighborhoods. The facilities, part of the federal CONADE "Mundialito Social" program linked to the 2026 World Cup, were built with 5.5 million pesos of federal funding and inaugurated by Mayor Lupita López González.

In the capital city of San Luis Potosí, the municipal government introduced a digital voting platform for council sessions. Developed under Mayor Enrique Galindo and funded with municipal resources, the system was demonstrated to council members to improve transparency and real‑time information access, positioning the city among the few Mexican municipalities using such technology.
