Mexican municipalities roll out August discounts on water, property taxes and fines

Agua de Puebla launched the “Regularízate” campaign for August, allowing domestic users with debts of seven months or more to receive a 40 % reduction on the principal water bill and a 100 % waiver of recargos if they settle the total amount in a single payment. The offer is available from 1 to 31 August at any of the utility’s 11 branches, with optional payment plans of up to 12 months without interest.

Municipal treasuries in Hermosillo and Ciudad Juárez also introduced August discount schemes. Hermosillo’s “Dando y Dando 2026” program (3 – 31 August) gives a 100 % discount on recargos and fines for property tax, plus a 50 % cut on the base amount and full recargo waivers for traffic and administrative fines, in exchange for donated school supplies. Ciudad Juárez’s initiative (1 – 31 August) provides a 100 % discount on property‑tax recargos and a 50 % discount on recargos for traffic infractions, automatically applied to eligible accounts.
