Mexico conducts maritime security operations and naval recruitment

Mexican authorities have conducted several maritime and port-related operations. Under ‘Operation Limpieza,’ the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and the National Customs Agency (ANAM) inspected the Lázaro Cárdenas customs office in Michoacán. This operation resulted in the seizure of counterfeit goods, including perfumes branded as ‘PARIS HILTON,’ ‘VICTORIA’S SECRET’ containers, ‘ALO’ backpacks, and ‘KUROMI’ bags.

In Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, the Mexican Navy (SEMAR) concluded its ‘Summer 2026 Lifesaver Operation.’ The mission, which ran from July 30 to August 31, utilized 152 naval elements and 18 units to provide security and medical assistance to tourists at local beaches.

Additionally, the Mexican Navy has issued multiple recruitment calls across various naval zones, including the Second, Third, and Eighth Naval Zones. Vacancies are available for a wide range of profiles, including professionals in law, engineering, and oceanography, as well as technical specialists and various manual trades.
