Mexican Navy seizes 1.36 tonnes of cocaine off Guerrero coast

The Mexican Navy’s coastal patrol intercepted a shipment of cocaine near Boca Chica in the municipality of Tecpan de Galeana, Guerrero. Officers seized 29 packages weighing approximately 1,360 kg of the drug, which the authorities say could represent about 2.6 million potential doses. The cargo was transferred by air to the port of Acapulco for official weighing and further investigation. The Fiscalía General de la República will determine the final weight and pursue the origin and destination of the shipment. The navy estimates the haul’s street‑value at roughly 283 million Mexican pesos, a significant economic blow to the criminal groups involved.
