Mexican para-swimmers win multiple golds at World Para Swimming Series

Mexican para-swimmers achieved significant success during the World Para Swimming Series held in Zapopan, Jalisco. The event, which serves as preparation for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games, featured 206 athletes from 14 different nations.

Key performers included Jesús Alberto Gutiérrez Bermúdez, who secured four gold medals in the 200m individual medley (SM6), 100m breaststroke (SB6), 400m freestyle (S6), and 50m butterfly (S6). Ángel Camacho Ramírez also earned a gold medal in the 150m individual medley (SM4), leading a Mexican podium sweep in that event alongside Marcos Zárate Rodríguez and Juan Alonso Barajas.

Other notable gold medalists included Citli Salinas Rojas in the 200m individual medley (SM14), Fabiola Ramírez Martínez in the 50m backstroke (S2), and Karen Amelyn Morales Galván in the 200m freestyle (S14). The Mexican delegation demonstrated strong competitive depth against international teams from countries including the United States, Spain, Russia, and Argentina.
