Mexican parathletes compete in state stages for 2026 National Paralympics
Athletes across Mexico are preparing for the state stage of the 2026 CONADE National Paralympics.
In Guerrero, the state is hosting this official stage for the first time at the Chilpancingo Polideportivo. The competition includes disciplines such as para-athletics, para-table tennis, and para-powerlifting. This edition also marks the debut of Boccia as an official competitive discipline in the state. The event is supported by the Guerrero Sports Institute (INDEG) and the state government.
In Tijuana, Mayor Abdiel Gutiérrez Coronado led a ceremony for more than 80 parathletes representing the municipality. The Tijuana delegation will compete in various disciplines, including boccia, para-athletics, para-swimming, powerlifting, and para-dance, as they aim to qualify for the national stage.
