Mexican police arrest suspects linked to senior‑citizen and home robbery sprees
Police in Saltillo, Coahuila, detained 51‑year‑old José Antonio “N” after investigators connected him to a series of robberies targeting older adults in at least 12 municipalities of Coahuila and similar incidents reported in Guerrero, Michoacán, Jalisco, San Luis Potosí, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas and Mexico City. Authorities recovered stolen wallets, bank cards and identification documents from a discarded backpack and placed the suspect in the custody of the Coahuila State Attorney General.
In Guanajuato, municipal police captured another man accused of multiple home burglaries in the Sierra de Santa Rosa communities. The suspect had previously been reported numerous times by residents through a dedicated WhatsApp line for law‑enforcement. He, along with a second detainee wanted for other offenses, was handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office. Police urged victims to file complaints to aid investigations.
