Mexican politicians discuss 2027 electoral ambitions
Political figures in Mexico are beginning to outline their intentions for the 2027 electoral process. In San Luis Potosí, Enrique Galindo Ceballos confirmed his intention to participate in the upcoming elections. Galindo emphasized the need to build a common citizen alliance, noting that there is currently a greater willingness among political militancies to seek agreements compared to previous cycles.
In Querétaro, Governor Mauricio Kuri González addressed internal party dynamics within the PAN. Kuri expressed support for Luis Bernardo Nava Guerrero, who is seeking a candidacy for the governorship. Kuri stated that within the party, members are permitted to have political aspirations and affirmed that he would support whoever emerges as the official candidate.
Additionally, Governor Kuri commented on recent INEGI data regarding internal displacement in Querétaro, suggesting the survey questions might be misaligned with the local reality, as he maintains the state is a destination for those fleeing violence elsewhere rather than a source of displacement.
