Mexican polytechnic universities graduate hundreds of engineers

The Universidad Politécnica de Querétaro (UPQ) held a ceremony in which 838 graduates received professional titles, including 486 engineering degrees and 352 licentiates. Rector Diana Pérez Mejía highlighted the graduates' preparation for the labor market and their role in the development of Querétaro and Mexico.

In Mérida, the Universidad Politécnica de Yucatán (UPY) conferred degrees on 123 engineers, marking the first cohort of 22 specialists in Cybersecurity. Coordinator Ángel Arturo Pech Che emphasized the program’s strategic importance for digital sovereignty. The graduates also covered data science, robotics, and embedded systems, with 18 women receiving STEM scholarships.

Both events underscore the growing emphasis on technical education and industry‑linked training in Mexico’s polytechnic institutions.
