Mexican Red Cross faces debt crisis amid school safety concerns

The Mexican Red Cross is facing a severe financial crisis, struggling to pay existing debts and compensate medical personnel. Despite the appointment of Francisco Arellano Conde, the institution remains in a critical state that previously forced the suspension of services. The organization has called for volunteers to assist, though the lack of resources continues to hamper operations.

In Tamaulipas, the Secretary of Education, Miguel Ángel Valdés, has addressed legal loopholes regarding the supervision of militarized schools following the death of Dafne Quintos. In response to the incident, five schools in the state have been closed, and the SET is working to establish new security protocols to prevent further abuses within educational institutions.
