Mexican regional authorities implement legal and urban reforms

In Morelos, the Legal Counsel of the Executive Power held the Fifth Ordinary Session of the Legal Studies Commission to coordinate efforts among various state agencies. Legal representative Dolores Álvarez Díaz highlighted the use of a new digital platform for regulatory consultation, designed to provide legal certainty and streamline administrative processes for public servants under the administration of Margarita González Saravia.

In Quintana Roo, the Secretary of Ecology and Urban Development reported that over 100 property owners have enrolled in a construction regularization program in Cancún. The initiative offers a 100 percent waiver on fines for building without a license and provides technical assistance for single-family homes. Secretary Nahielli Orozco Lozano noted that the program has already resulted in savings of over 16 million pesos for participants. While the program is currently scheduled to end on September 30, officials are evaluating a possible extension to reach more informal settlements in northern neighborhoods.
