Mexican regional authorities report emergency activity and community service updates

In San Luis Potosí, the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) reported attending 61 emergency calls between September 14 and September 20. These calls, received via the 9-1-1 system and direct lines, included reports of accidents, fires, and various assistance requests, as well as false alarms. The agency noted that prevention efforts were intensified during this period in coordination with national civil protection drills.

In Sonora, the Cajeme Secretariat of Welfare announced plans to reach a goal of 60 Peace and Service Fairs by the end of the year. Having completed 52 sessions to date, the department aims to continue providing services to both urban neighborhoods and rural communities, such as Campo 29 in the Pueblo Yaqui district. Additionally, the ‘Juntos por Cajeme’ program has successfully recovered approximately 26 public spaces, including plazas and sports courts, through community collaboration.
