Mexican security forces raid house in Veracruz and shut clandestine party in Torreón
On the night of Friday, 27 June 2026, elements of the Federal Police, the National Guard and the Mexican Army carried out a raid on a residence at the corner of Margarita and Madre Selva streets in the Dos Caminos neighbourhood of Veracruz. Authorities gave no explanation for the operation, and no incidents or arrests were reported. Residents were surprised by the sudden presence of the federal forces, which left the site without issuing a statement.
In Torreón, Coahuila, municipal police detected alcohol consumption and a strong scent of marijuana during a routine patrol on Avenida Guerrero and González Ortega. The officers entered a building being used for a clandestine party, found several adolescents drinking alcohol and allegedly using marijuana, and ordered the venue’s closure. Four minors were detained and placed at the disposal of the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
