Mexican Senate authorizes military delegation for UK training
The Mexican Senate has authorized President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo to allow a delegation of 11 members of the Mexican Armed Forces to travel to Wales, United Kingdom, for the ‘Cambrian Patrol 2026’ international exercise.
The delegation, composed of one leader, four officers, and six troops from the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) High Performance Company for International Competencies, will participate in the event from October 2 to October 14. The troops will travel via commercial flights and will not carry any weaponry.
The objective of the participation is to strengthen operational capabilities, leadership, and interoperability, while facilitating the exchange of experiences and best practices with international military forces. Senator Juanita Guerra Mena noted that Mexico previously secured first place in the ‘Cambrian Patrol 2024’, highlighting the high level of professionalism within the country's armed forces.
