Mexican Senate hosts Mozart recital at Antigua Casona de Xicoténcatl

The Mexican Senate resumed cultural events at its historic venue, the Antigua Casona de Xicoténcatl, with a recital honoring the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's birth. The performance featured soprano Rosa María Díez and pianist Enrique Bárcena, focusing on an intimate selection of Mozart's works intended to evoke emotions such as love and serenity.

The program included pieces such as 'Ridente la calma' and the Sonata in D major, KV 381, as well as the Fantasy in D minor, KV 397. While more than 100 people attended the event in person at the central courtyard, the Senate reported that approximately 5,000 people joined the recital via social media streaming.
